American Hustle - exhibition

American hustle was shown in many cinemas over the UK, some more known cinemas such as VUE, Empire, IMAX, ODEON and many lower profile cinemas. There was also many screenings over the course of America and other parts of the world, some of these include: Showcase cinemas, AMC cinemas and many more.
An example of the lower budget cinemas is our local small cinema in Romford, it is only a small screening cinema with not a lot of seats that doesn’t cost a lot to watch a film in.

There were many seats that American hustle took place of but it played in cinemas with luxury seats, the main reason for this is probably because it’s a long film and it makes it easier for people to sit through the film.

American hustle was only shown in 2D because it was more of a drama and there wasn’t much action that required 3D technology. 2D was more effective in this film as there was a lot of talking a flashbacks and 2D seemed to show important conversations in better detail.
Another reason why it was better in 2D is because you have to focus a lot on the film about what’s going on or you may get confused. 3D effects would make this a distraction from concentrating on the film and you may get lost with what is going on.
